Greeneville Arts Council

The Greeneville Arts Council, as part of its mission to support the arts, artists, and art education in and around Greene County, offers an annual $2,000 Mary Jane Coleman scholarship.

Mary Jane Coleman, a long time Greeneville resident, was the preeminent voice for the arts in our area.  As founder of The Sinking Creek Film Festival and The Greeneville Arts Council, Mary Jane Coleman continually promoted and encouraged emerging local artists to strive to reach their potential.  In honor of her dedicated service, the Greeneville Arts Council is pleased to offer this scholarship in her memory.

Scholarships may ONLY be applied towards college tuition. Only Greene County residents pursuing an art-related degree program (such as graphic design, photography, fine art, art education, theater, dance, creative writing, culinary arts, etc.) will be considered.

Unfortunately, the GAC cannot afford to give all applicants scholarships. (We would if we could!) Students need to submit a sample of their work (video, image, writing samples, recordings, etc.) to help in the GAC's scholarship committee determine who will receive the scholarship.

If you qualify and would like to be considered for a scholarship, please complete the form below.
